iRobot: fujisoft PALRO
Fuji Soft Inc.’s new bipedal humanoid robot kit costs $3300 USD and comes with its own 1.66GHz processor, camera, microphones, LED arrays, pressure sensors, and 20 DOF.
PALRO is a small-scale hobbyist humoid robot created by the japanese company fujisoft. PALRO measures 39.8cm tall and weighs 1.9 kg. it is equipped with a camera, microphones, a speaker, LED displays on its head and chest as well as a 1.6 GHZ processor. The bot also has pressure sensitive feet that give it excellent walking ability and balance. The camera and powerful processor even allow the robot to use facial recognition to see who is around it.
