The GOMMI ARCADE flipbook animation sequence was inspired by our love of animation, science-fiction, futurism, video games, comics, graphic novels and anime and manga.
Once considered the preserve of an insular youth culture, within the last decade Japanese animated cartoons (anime), comics (manga), and interactive video games have migrated to the mainstream, with reverberations both far and wide – from Takashi Murakami (x Louis Vuitton) to Osamu Tezuka (Astroboy comics and feature film), Marvel to Disney, Namco Bandai to Atari, Lucas to Spielberg, Madhouse to DC Comics.
This video, the first in a series, stands as not only a testament to our ambition, but a milestone in the GOMMI ARCADE experience.
